This workout is one of the longest the Sufferfest people have published.
I have reviewed this video cycling workout in conjunction with TrainerRoad.
The workout begins gently enough and then very gradually ramps up with intensity.
It is a training ride of 2 halves. The first part is very much road racing biased with tempo and sweetspot riding for longish intervals but very 'doable'.
The second half then steps up with a series of 3 short AC intervals that really test your ability to spin it up and stamp hard on the pedals - just make sure you can trust your turbo!
This is excellent training for those of us who are getting on in years but still need to train the ability to accelerate hard. The only time you will need this really is if you have a chance in a sprint finish situation but it is good to practise.
Finally 3 x time trial 4 minute efforts at threshold pacing round off an excellent session.
