My LVRC race experience in 2013 has not been of the best quality to say the least. I packed after 27 miles after blowing the proverbial 'head gasket' on the downward stretch after Saighton School hill. Writing this I sometimes think what am I doing? No excuses, I should not have put myself into the red so as to fail to hang onto a following wheel and so early into the race.
Tomorrow starts with a training routine of shortish intervals to replicate the heart rate stress of today so that I become more accustomed to working at that level and staying the pace until the pace relents (as it does in a road race).
