The last race in the summer series and finished a competent whatever in the bunch.
I felt my legs still had a hangover from Sunday so was not inclined to push myself so hard.
Start of the race was cagey and I was in front for the first couple of miles. GW made a predicatable lone breakaway attempt but as no one else followed, neither did I. He was caught prior to Woore by which time a couple of pacey moves had been made. The heart rate was up and I had lost front positioning and 4 or so riders were away to a smallish gap all the way on the return leg of the lap. This would have been the time to attempt a bridge move but feeling I would not have the strength to remain in a break, so stayed put.
