A large field meant that awareness was paramount as a larger number of less experienced participants were taking part.
There were a few moments where I really didn't feel safe and at one time took to the grass to avoid being severely encroached by a rider from behind and then squeezing me.
I was able to finish comfortably in the main bunch.
Race 2 is on the 11th June and as my race calendar is less congested this month , I hoping for a better more workmanlike performance.
