You can never tell with a race and racing. For a while I have not enjoyed the early rise on a Sunday to get to a race knowing that probably I'll not do justice to what deep down I can actually do. Call it a confidence thing.
So today, no pretence as to whether I will do well or not, just have a minor race plan in the head.
Upshot is that I help initiate a break and it actually sticks! 6 of us get and stay away. I have a 4th and £20 to my name.
It wasn't supposed to happen but it did.
